· Satanite is decent refractory but the ITC 100 is awesome for getting the forge up to heat quickly and keeping it there. Also I would add a firebrick to the bottom of your forge. The flux will corrode it eventually but its easier to replace a firebrick than to recoat the forge.

The cost difference between the two was major so I wanted to see what if any difference there is between the two in the application of coating a welding forge interior.

· I ment to cast over the Inswool or other blanket with a castable refractory (Kast-0-Lite or other castable refractory) then after that has cured paint over it with Plistix. Plistix and ITC 100 are both Infrared Reflective procucts. Plistix is 10.00 a pint and ITC 100 is about 40.00. Painting the ITC 100 over the Plistix would be redundant.
